Guitar arrangements

I consider arrangements as a way to express through the instrument the music I love so much.

Although these arrangements were created at different stages of my life, they all share the same constant: making changes. Whether it’s crafting a new introduction, exploring a different texture, altering the harmony (with the famous II-V progression), or searching for colors related to modes—especially Lydian. However, after having been a teaching assistant in Practical Guitar Harmony and completing my final degree project, my focus on what’s most important when creating a guitar arrangement has shifted. Today, the top priority in my thinking is fingering. Why? Because fingering defines how a passage will sound; knowing which string to choose for a melodic line allows for more or less expressiveness. Of course, factors like harmony, texture, and articulation (among others) are also very important, but I believe a large part of musicality comes from fingering. Therefore, I am currently working on fingering all my arrangements, which demands a lot of time but makes me happy to review and record arrangements that once gave me so much joy.

With nothing more to say, I invite you to listen to the arrangements I have published.

Best regards!
